Trek day 19 – Tatopani to Ghoropani (1650m ascent)

With this being the largest ascent of the trek, we decided to leave most of our stuff in Tatopani and just bring the bare essentials with us on the steep climb up to Ghoropani.  We planned to come back down the very next day (at this point in our trek we were definitely not trying to prove anything to ourselves)!

Before long we found ourselves in the midst of beautiful rhododendron forests in bloom.  It was truly surreal… like something out of ‘Lord of the Rings’
