Hello!
It’s the night of April 5 and we have finally arrived back in Kathmandu after 22 or so days of trekking. As today is the first time we’ve had decent internet, we’re going to begin posting all of our backlog of pictures and text, etc. Please forgive our lapse in entries but we hope to catch up soon!

With all of our gear packed, we left the comforts of the hotel and walked to the Kathmandu bus terminal, about 15 minutes away. Our first bus of the day would leave at 7am. Five hours later, we arrive in Dumre and pick up another bus to Besi Sahar where we transfer to a “micro bus” that would take us along the dusty road to Bhulbhule.
Finally, we arrive in the small village of Bhulbhule after 12 hours. We picked the first guesthouse we could find as it was getting dark and about to rain. After a long travel day, we were anxious to hit the trail early the next morning.

Luckily, the rain started after we arrived
Our first meal of Dal Bhat… a staple Nepalese dish of lentils, rice, and boiled vegetables with curry. We ended up eating it in our rooms with our headlamps because of the rain. We were so tired and hungry, we didn’t mind at all.
