They're alive!

This is Jason -- Scott's brother.

Scott & Jen called us at 3am the other night to say "they are okay", and they are currently in Chame. They hope to be done with the trek in about 2 1/2 weeks. They will catch the blog up once they get to Bangkok.

Don't expect a ton of updates over the next week or two, but I (Jason) will provide any additional info if they call again -- just hopefully not in the middle of the night! :-)

  3. Hi Scott and Jen--NAMASTE!!--Dad W here, I wanted to become an "official" commenter. Always love the photos and narrative, but almost love more than the fantastic vistas the "local life" photos--yours and "theirs"--your meals (what a great breakfast!--four boiled potatoes and half a pan of cornbread, plus mint tea!); the dal bhat looks interesting (filling anyway). The culture you are walking thru, and that you seem to be so open and attuned to is great, and amusing (I smiled all day long recalling your photo of the six guys getting the bull across the suspension bridge--what was the seventh guy doing?)--and the "chicken importers"! So happy you are well and going strong! Love you--best wishes. Dad
